We had another incredible day and we are fast reaching the conclusion that the USA is thus far proving to be at least as far up the top of the list from an interesting and beautiful perspective, as Patagonia, Chile, and Wyoming and Utah in particular have forever captured our hearts!!

On route to Yellowstone from Jackson, Wyoming!

We left Jackson, Wyoming late this morning after a lazy breakfast in this gorgeous little town. We bumped into other bikers and spent ages chatting about the trip as well as suggested routes North and other interesting US and Canadian rides.

Days Ride

Our days ride…

The ride today was only a 340km loop into Teton and Yellowstone national parks in order to see Old Faithful, (the geyser) as well as the incredible scenery through the parks. Old Faithful, although well known as a predictable geyser that blows 15,000 to 30,000 Litres of boiling water, 30 to 50 metres high, for up to 1m, 30s every 1h30 (give or take 10 minutes), is actually part of the Yellowstone super Volcano that when it last blew was apparently 10 times the force of the Mount St Helens explosion back in 1980. It is expected to erupt again in about 10,000 years and will create an ash cloud half the size of the US!!

A Harley gang and other equally descriptive road signs!!!

After the park, we had an early dinner in Yellowstone, then took a slow ride down to Rexburg (AKA Nowhereville) where we are spending the night. Tomorrow we ride to Missoula in Montana, and then Sunday we cross into Canada!!

Be a sport Many of us have the means and wherewithal to undertake the dreams we want but elect to choose otherwise, many however, do not and that is the purpose of this plea. Afrika Tikkun (http://afrikatikkun.org// ) is a South African non governmental, non profit charity organisation run by the Lubner family that in essence does just that; re-provide the possibility to dream and to create the possibility of turning those dreams into a reality.

Unlike many pleas of this nature, I am not looking for any kind of sponsorship for my trip, but I am looking for your donation, regardless of its size to Afrika Tikkun. Please pledge generously as this is a fantastic cause that will assist them to provide food, care, education, health and social services to those that are desperately in need.
