These ruins are less architecturally impressive than <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Chichen_Itza\" target=\"_blank\">Chichen Itza<\/a> although the location is UNBELIEVEABLE! These ruins are perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking the turquoise coloured waters of the Caribbean and have a rich history as a trading port that attracted traders from Cuba, Venezuela, Panama and supposedly even Vikings from the Nordic regions?!<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.capetocairo2010.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/SAM_01451.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"SAM_0145\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"SAM_0145\" src=\"http:\/\/www.capetocairo2010.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/SAM_0145_thumb1.jpg\" width=\"649\" height=\"490\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">These ruins are also unique in that there is a small beach that you can swim at that looks up at the ruins perched over the sea.
