{"id":2251,"date":"2013-04-19T00:45:04","date_gmt":"2013-04-19T00:45:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.capetocairo2010.co.za\/?p=2251"},"modified":"2013-04-21T00:45:41","modified_gmt":"2013-04-21T00:45:41","slug":"19-april-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.capetocairo2010.co.za\/?p=2251","title":{"rendered":"19 April 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"justify\">Short run of just 100km to Barranquilla today and although short in distance it was long in time, not because roads were bad but because I got caught in a torrential rain storm just before getting into my destination.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.capetocairo2010.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/SAM_4389.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"SAM_4389\" border=\"0\" alt=\"SAM_4389\" src=\"http:\/\/www.capetocairo2010.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/SAM_4389_thumb.jpg\" width=\"649\" height=\"490\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><em>The storm I rode into\u2026<\/em>&#160;<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Navigating the 10km\u2019s of roads in Barranquilla to my hotel was like navigating a river system because the internal town roads haven\u2019t been designed to accommodate the quantum of water that came down so the traffic backed up and were moving one by one through rivers of water that were rushing down the streets\u2026.It was an interesting experience!!<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Barranquilla is another large industrial town and is developing rapidly as a result the industrial activity.
