Before we flew to the islands I took a look at the iPhone weather and was surprised that it indicated cold weather notwithstanding its equatorial location? I assumed that it may be a case of cold prevailing winds off the pacific and didn\u2019t think to check that the weather programme of the iPhone may be incorrect alternatively that it might be another \u201cGalapagos\u201d somewhere else in the world so all the clothes we packed were for highs of 10 and lows of \u20132, until we landed at 13h00 and walked out into a wall of equatorial heat and humidity!! Bugger!!<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.capetocairo2010.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_3127.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-right-width: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px\" title=\"IMG_3127\" border=\"0\" alt=\"IMG_3127\" src=\"http:\/\/www.capetocairo2010.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_3127_thumb.jpg\" width=\"648\" height=\"855\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The logistics of getting around the Galapagos are challenging at best but not surprising considering the remote nature of the islands, however getting into a 45 minute taxi followed by another 2 hour boat ride in 35 degree heat before we eventually reached our hotel in Puerto Villamil on Santa Isabel at 17h00 made for an exhausting day.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.capetocairo2010.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_3142.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-right-width: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px\" title=\"IMG_3142\" border=\"0\" alt=\"IMG_3142\" src=\"http:\/\/www.capetocairo2010.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_3142_thumb.jpg\" width=\"649\" height=\"390\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><em>Iguanas all over the place..<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">On the upside, the Galapagos is Beautiful and unique.
